The advertising of alcohol, the marketing of alcoholic products, peer pressure and parental influence all play a part in the level of alcohol consumption among young people. Researchers found that advertising seems to be most effective in the case of alcopops and cider.

The WHO, The World Health Organization, (I honestly thought they were talking ’bout “The Who”!) stated that the “harmful use of alcohol causes serious public-health problems,” and says it will devise an international plan to address issues like binge drinking and alcohol marketing.
